Success Story
Tenth team to Internationals
WorldSkills New Zealand is sending its tenth team to compete on the world stage at the 2024 WorldSkills International competition in Lyon, France in September . We will be competing in two skills: Aircraft Maintenance (Elliott Farnan) and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Jack Butler). Congratulations to Jack who won Silver at the Global Competition in Melbourne in May in preparation for the international event.
Jack and Elliott will join the legacy of 140 high performing young New Zealanders who have competed at this international level with WorldSkills New Zealand.
We may be fielding one of our smallest teams ever, but that’s not stopping us from dreaming big! Both Elliott and Jack will be supported by Skill Experts Jeroen Hattink for Elliott, and Neill Adkins for Jack. In addition, their respective employers Air NZ, and Active Refrigeration, the wider WSNZ team and not forgetting their family and friends, many who will be joining us in Lyon.
