It’s your captain speaking…

Our Aircraft Maintenance folk are known for commitment to detail, thoroughness and putting our safety first. So… unbuckle your seats!

While we have been eagerly getting ready for take-off with our National Aircraft Maintenance competition in March, our pre-flight inspection has signaled some possible turbulence up ahead. In light of this, the national competition event has been cancelled. Sorry team, we’re grounded.

Before we go, we have a huge shout out to the Airforce Museum of New Zealand in Wigram, Air New Zealand, the New Zealand Defence Force, ARA Institute of Canterbury, Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology and our very own WorldSkills New Zealand Skill Manager Michael Naus for your enduring work, planning and support leading up to this point. Well done everyone. We will leave it till another day to take to the skies.
