Organisational Update
Jan 2021
Midway through 2020, WorldSkills New Zealand underwent a comprehensive review. This has resulted in a reset of our organisation kicking off at the beginning of 2021.
Over the last few months, we have created a new management structure, engaged in new thinking, and have a renewed focus. We have also launched a new website, made changes to our competition criteria and put our focus on New Zealand activity.
This reset will better position us to be more relevant to our industries and to the vocational education sector. With our competitions, we expect to increase participation and deliver stronger events.
Our focus for 2021 is to:
- Increase participation in competition events (especially regarding diversity and inclusion),
- Raise awareness of World Skills New Zealand its activities,
- Providing value through showcasing industry requirements, talent, and benchmarking,
- Ensure an enjoyable, positive learning experience for all competitors.
We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead.
